Privacy Policy

Effective: 11 August 2025

Who we are

Bridge helps people turn conflict into progress by reframing messages for clarity and respect. You can contact us at hi@bridgeconvo.com.

For the purposes of data protection laws, Bridge is the controller of personal data processed through this website. Where messages are exchanged via WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy also apply.

Information we process

1) Website and communications

  • Basic technical data your browser sends (IP address, device/OS, pages viewed, timestamps, referrer).
  • Support and contact details you provide (name, email, subject, message).
  • Cookies: we do not use non-essential cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy.

2) Messaging with Bridge on WhatsApp

  • Message content you send to Bridge so we can reframe and return it to you.
  • Metadata needed to operate the service (e.g., your phone number, timestamps).
  • Attachments metadata if supplied (e.g., file type/size). We aim to limit processing to what is necessary.

We design our systems to minimize retention of message content. Where possible, message content is processed transiently to generate a rewritten response and is not stored beyond what is necessary to operate the service, prevent abuse, or comply with law. If we ever wish to use example messages to improve quality, we will seek consent or apply appropriate de-identification.

How we use information

  • Provide and operate the service, including reframing messages and delivering responses.
  • Communicate with you, including support and service notices.
  • Maintain safety and integrity (fraud prevention, abuse detection, troubleshooting).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
  • Improve the service and user experience, using aggregated or de-identified information where feasible.

Legal bases (if you are in the EEA/UK)

  • Contract: to provide the service you request (e.g., processing your messages).
  • Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the service, prevent abuse, and communicate essential updates.
  • Consent: where required (e.g., optional communications or using examples to improve quality).
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws and requests from authorities.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including operating the service, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations. We aim to limit retention of message content and prefer transient processing.

Sharing and disclosure

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • Service providers who help us operate the website or messaging infrastructure may process data on our behalf under contract.
  • WhatsApp acts as the communications platform when you message Bridge; their processing is governed by their policies.
  • Legal and safety: we may disclose information to comply with law, protect rights, or prevent harm.
  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or reorganization, data may be transferred with appropriate safeguards.

International transfers

If we transfer personal data across borders, we will rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or other lawful mechanisms.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if you believe your account or information has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to receive your data in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To exercise these rights, email hi@bridgeconvo.com. We may need to verify your identity to protect your information.

Children

Bridge is not intended for children under 13, or a higher age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date.
